Workshop & Event Design.

Re-designing how people come together, physically & virtually

Each experience, project and team is different and should be treated as such. I always use a structured approach, that will be tailored to your objectives, project context and desired outcomes. Either its a one day workshop, week-long sprint, or recurring meeting. They all need to have objectives, be enjoyed, engaging, and structured.

PROBLEM

During the Covid-19 pandemic, a lot of the Australian workforce has had to rethink how they conduct their business. Holding team meetings is no exception, especially when 250+ people are involved. The problem for the client was "How does our leadership engage and communicate with our workforce virtually, while still creating moments that matter?" The challenge was to redesign team meetings in a virtual environment, that would produce the same level of personnel connection and importance as they would have done in a Physical Environment.

SOLUTION

Through a series of interviews and creative workshops, we co-designed a 'Virtual meeting framework'. The framework consisted of a Vision statement, Experience and Business Objectives, Experience principles, and as well as End-to-end guide of all strategic and emotional touchpoints, triggered by a range of digital tools, videos, and animations. All of this together ensured genuine connection between the leadership and their workforce. We also conducted training sessions and provided a playbook so that the client could replicate the success of the Virtual meeting across their entire business.

Deliverables

  • Framework - Must be repeatable and teachable for designing and conducting future virtual events.

  • Playbook - step by step guide on how to design and facilitate virtual meetings that create genuine connection, which usually only feasible via a physically environment

  • Digital content - Banners, headers, animations, and edited video footage.

  • Co-designing with client, encouraging creative thinking, innovation, and experimentation.

  • Design and create to budget and timeline.

  • Creative content must be adaptable and easy to maintain for future meetings.
